Review: WhoNu Cookies
Lately I have been seeing a lot of buzz floating around a new company who offers a variety or nutritional cookies. Healthy Cookies? Sign me up!
"WhoNu?" started with a challenge - to create a delicious, nutritious treat moms and dads can give to their children without the emptying calories. After years of research, testing, (and gallons of milk), the ingenious people at Suncore Products arrived at four cookies based on classic cookie flavors - only these are rich with calcium, iron, and vitamins A, B, C, D and E. They also have 3 grams of fiber and a total of 20 essential vitamins and minerals.
So I finally decided to try them, along with my taste test panel consisting of my son (age 6)!. We tried the chocolate cookie which resembles an Oreo cookie.
Taking it out of the bright orange package it smelled very similar to the other name brand cookie, getting my mouth watering and ready to indulge. After shoving a cookie in my mouth and chewing it like I hadn't eaten in a week, my taste buds celebrated in pure bliss! These cookies are truly tasty! I am more than pleasantly surprised!
My son also diving in with me to try these new cookies followed his swallow with a big "That is A-MAZING!" - Kid Approved & Healthy? These are going into his lunches for school from now on. Since we have tried WhoNu?'s he has been asking for these cookies for his afternoon snack, I can finally offer him a sweet reward for a job well done without the guilt of my son eating "junk"!
Thank you WhoNu? for coming up with such a great product. We are loyal customers from this point on!
Make sure to check out their website for more nutritional information, videos, testimonials and more!

Lazy Weekend...
I am ashamed to say that I had a lazy (sort of) weekend! On Friday my Mom & Gma drove 3 hours from my hometown to have a Thanksgiving Dinner type evening since we won't be seeing them on Turkey Day. They arrived at my house around 9am - Early Birds!! - so I didn't get a chance to work out on Friday due to taking them shopping, cooking, eating, cleaning and then watching my adorable nephew that night.
Saturday - they were still in town and we did some more shopping. Once they left around 2pm I was just exhausted from playing host so I was lazy and decided to lounge and "recoup" from their visit.
Sunday - Yesterday was better. As you may know, I am a Promo Girl for our local Pro Hockey Team and we had a game last night. I ended up walking over 14,000 steps which equaled to around 6.25 miles. So I got a little bit of exercise there. Still not enough to make me feel like I accomplished anything thought - haha. I was having too much fun for it to be Exercise *wink*!
Today - I went to the gym and cycled 4 miles in 18 minutes at an average of 13.3 MPH. After my quick ride I decided to work out my arms - now they feel like Jello, but I am truly excited to start seeing some toning going on!
I am ready for an active and successful week ahead!

Fruit Smoothies + ARX
This morning I woke up & had a yummy fruit smoothie for breakfast, consisted of Berry Medley, 1 Banana, 1/2 Cup of Yogurt, a little milk & a little orange juice! It was pretty stinking tasty!
I just finished up my Ab Ripper X work out for today - Yesterday was supposed to be my Ab workout, but my Abs were screaming at me as soon as I started so I did half of the DVD, so today I did the whole thing all the way through. It was tough, but I can already tell is it getting easier!
Now off to a quick run before getting my nails & hair done for the hockey game tonight! :)

I'm on a Roll...
Today I went and checked out the new gym that I get for FREE for being awesome ;)
It was really nice, a lot of equipment and the owner is pretty cool - hilarious and super welcoming.
I hoped on a Treadmill, did a 5 min warm up on 4 - then started my Couch to 5k run. 1.5 min run followed by 2 min walk, 6 times. I walked at 4.5 and ran at 6.5.
I burned around 180 calories (which is NOT much!!) and ran 1.75 miles in 20 mins.
Tomorrows workout consists of circuits and Ab Ripper X! Wish me luck!! :)

...Started Today!
Ok...so the original plan was to start my new workout yesterday *Nov 1st* but life had other plans. My son woke me up at 1am with an ear ache - by 9am he was screaming in pain so I took him to the doctor. He had an ear infection - by the time we got back home, he was ready to take his medicine and catch up on lost sleep.
Well....my mind & body doesn't allow me to sleep during the day - so I was up but exhausted so I laid down in bed with him, he slept better knowing I was there.
So after giving him my 100% attention yesterday I was too exhausted to start.
So I did today!!
I literally just finished Ab Ripper X about 5 mins ago - my Abs are going to go on strike but it feels good. A nice burn. I took some before pictures (which I will reveal at the end). Ab Ripper X is the only workout I am doing out of the P90x workout videos - but I plan to work other things at the gym.
I am going to go do Week 3, Day 1 of Couch to 5K right now! I am hoping to run 2 miles today!
After all this...I am going to need a nap! Too bad my son will be home from school in 1 hour, 10 mins - PLUS I have a coffee date with a friend at 5:45 tonight. My bed is calling my name already!!
Thanks for stopping by!
